Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in Pune on Thursday that the ongoing action against those who indulged in corruption and fraud during the earlier regime will continue.
Speaking at a rally ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly elections on October 21 , Modi said that the middle class has made a great contribution to the economy.
The city has a middle class population. “For decades, some of the wrong trends spread to the system, but we are committed to erasing them,” he said.
“Today all these people are being held accountable, people against whom no one dared to take action.”
“… today you are seeing that from Delhi to Pune (corrupt people facing action),” he said.
